During your stay on the island, you have many options for transportation. All of our properties are located within walking distance, or a short drive, to grocery stores, restaurants, and beautiful beaches.
There are numerous taxi services available to get you the short distance to the Marina Puerto del Ray, or the ferry.
You can also book a guided, or private tour that will take you to any of the breathtaking attractions around the island. The Marina Puerto del Ray is an attraction all in itself! From restaurants to shops, beaches to boat tours, or some of the best snorkeling you’ll ever experience, there is something for everyone!!
Another great option is taking a short drive to the ferry, which will transport you to the magical beaches of Vieques and Culebra.
When staying outside of San Juan, a rental car is recommended.

If you’re considering renting a car for your stay on the island, FerTex Properties has a small fleet of vehicles available, exclusively for our guests. Ranging from small, to a full size SUV, we have something for everyone’s tastes, needs, and budget.
All of our vehicles (except the Jeep) are equipped with Bluetooth, for easy navigation around the island, or just listening to your favorite playlist to enhance your travels around the island.

Rental Car
If you’re staying in compact (and congested) San Juan then you won’t need a car. And those seeking a quiet vacation along the beaches of Rincón, Vieques or Culebra might find one more of a nuisance than a necessity. You will need a car, however, if you want to branch out and explore. Before you book the rental, consider these three points. One: The drivers here are known for their devil-may-care maneuvering, which is probably a byproduct of the twisty, narrow roads. Two: You’ll find parking is a creative process; or in other words, it’s practically non-existent and so drivers tend to “make” parking spots out of any random space along a road side. Three: There are tolls along many highways, and they’re never a welcome sign. Still interested? If so, you can rent a car at the airports or at several agencies across the island.

There are public and private shuttles available to get you from the Orlando International airport to Casa Sunshine, in Haines City, FL. Car rentals, with all major companies, are also available, and recommended.
